Soil Testing Laboratory
The soil testing laboratory of Palli Siksha Bhavana deals mainly with assessment of soil fertility status of this region. It provides guidelines to the stakeholders for nutrient application to the crops. The vermicomposting unit of the soil testing laboratory is recycling the organic wastes into enriched manures. The soil testing laboratory has been entrusted to analyse the soil samples of farmers field of 19 blocks of Birbhum district of West Bengal under centrally sponsored ‘Soil Health Card (SHC) scheme since 2016.
